I'm Christina...

Your Neurospicy Feminist Coach

I’m here for all the spicy w*tches who are done letting patriarchy and ableism tell them what to do and how to do it.

From high school teacher to certified feminist coach...

I am an ADHD informed certified feminist coach. True to ADHD form I’ve worn a few different hats in my time. I’m a high school teacher, sometimes Romantasy author, and occasional Dungeon Master. The Dungeons and Dragons kind– get your head out of the gutter.

I coach my fellow feminists with ADHD who are done being weighed down by impossible standards. I help my clients work with the magic of their brains so they can build witching lives of their own design.

It's a tale as old as time...

– if we lived in a society that historically gave a shit about women’s health.

I was diagnosed with ADHD late in life – right when I’d just added one to the million coping mechanisms I’d spent years developing in order to survive in a neurotypical world. Long story short: a million and one coping mechanisms were not nearly as sustainable as a million were.

In my hyperfocus induced research frenzy on everything ADHD in women, I read that many people felt a lot of grief at learning of their diagnosis. But honestly, it was a massive relief, followed up quickly by my brain’s very helpful bombardment of self-doubt.  – “But are we sure we’re not just lazy? I’m pretty sure we’re just looking for excuses. We’re probably just lazy.”

But predominantly it was a relief to finally have an explanation for the issues I’d struggled with my whole f*cking life. And yeah, there’s been a bit of grief there but at first it was mostly just relief–  and of course, the self-doubt.

I was just trying to find a mindfulness podcast to soothe my road rage when I stumbled upon feminist coaching...

As a teacher, I’d been taught that real growth happens in childhood and therefore the path to societal change is via our youth. Seems like a positive idea, right? And for the most part it can be. But for people socialized as women it does something else.

It holds us back.

The message we internalize from this is that the ship has already sailed on our own ability to grow and create change as adults. That we’re the old model. Broken, so toss us out. It’s time for greener pastures. And isn’t that just a convenient little notion for the current systems in power.

It put a lot of pressure on me when I was a young person. And it disempowered me as an adult. The imposter syndrome it created was exhausting.

So there I was, a new teacher, struggling to get by in a new city -with a lot of construction -when feminist coaching flipped the script on my life.

Feminist coaching was my red pill.

The matrix was unveiled before me. Suddenly I could see the subtle ways patriarchy had been limiting me – from the inside.

And better yet, there was a pretty easy system I could use to systematically dismantle that programing for good

WHAT!?

I started ditching the shame that held me back. I finally allowed myself to dream big again. I made decisions for myself and my life that were rooted in my values

Then I realized that it wasn’t just me…

I watched it play out in real time

My students socialized as women were learning early to hold themselves to impossible standards.

Meanwhile both they and the adults around them had quietly decided it was too late for their own growth.

I saw myself in all of them.

But there was something missing...

I still couldn’t seem to act on those decisions and goals that mattered to me.

ADHD was that missing piece. The diagnosis opened up a whole new world of building strategies that worked with my brain instead of against it.

That’s when I saw it clearly: patriarchy had spent years telling me what I should want. Ableism told me how I should achieve it. Neither worked — not for me, and not for the people I watched struggle every day.

So I took all the skills I learned as a teacher to help people grow…

Added the tools I used from feminist coaching to dismantle the patriarchy in my own brain

Combined the strategies I learned to work with my ADHD

And I became a coach for neurospicy feminists just like me.

Because growth isn’t just for kids

— and I don’t mean the hollow “lifelong learning” line we add to our resumes.

I mean real, self-directed growth on our own terms, with the brains we actually have, at any stage of our lives.

It is never too lateThe ship hasn’t sailed on your goals.

And fuck their greener pastures, I like purple anyway.
